Just like Windows, it is also important to keep your Microsoft Office software up-to-date. Microsoft offers an Office scan option to check for Office updates and fixes for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. One way to do that is by visiting the Microsoft Office Update Page. In addition, the update page also has downloadable templates and clipart to help you design everything from business cards to calendars to PowerPoint presentations.
How do I know if I need an
update?
How does it all work? 1. When you enter Office Update, click “GO”, next to Scan my computer to find Office updates I need. 2. As you browse through the available updates, click in the box to select the update and add it to the collection of updates you want to install. You can also read a full description of each item by clicking the “Detailed information about this update” link. 3. When you have selected all the updates you want, click “Start Installation. During the download process, you will be prompted to choose the location where you want to save the downloaded files. Either accept the default path to a pre-existing folder, or click the Browse button on the Download List page to select a location. Please Note: Some updates may require that you restart your computer. Save your work and close any open programs before beginning the installation process.
